Written Curriculum Based on Standards (Documentation)
- 1a. Clearly articulated and housed in an accessible location.
- 1b. School or division-wide levels of proficiency have been defined and are incorporated into rubrics or success criteria.
- 1c. Students are aware of the standards that are used to build the learning objectives.
- 1d. Exemplars are included in curriculum storage platforms.

Written Assessment Policy
(Policy)
- 2a. Assessments are directly aligned with identified standards.
- 2b. Proficiency scales are clearly defined.
- 2c. Ungraded practice has been separated from graded assessment of learning.
- 2d. Practice opportunities and behaviors are not included in grading.
- 2e. A clear and reasonable reassessment process exists.
- 2f. All non-academic factors are excluded from consideration in the academic grade.

Feedback

- 3a. Feedback is part of the learning process (teacher, peer, self).
- 3b. Reassessment opportunities incorporate feedback cycles.
- 3c. Assessments are used to determine further teaching and learning.

Organization of Gradebook

- 4a. Evidence is organized by standards, not assignments.
- 4b. Proficiency levels are clearly defined, and there is clarity around a student’s learning journey.

- 4d. Final grades are determined by a method other than averaging.

- 5a. Elimination of class rank and other GPA-based measurements.
- 5b. Evidence of stakeholder involvement in the process.
